Oltre la Nuova Agenda Urbana / Over the New Urban Agenda
The event is hosted by the cultural project L'Ultimo Spettacolo in organisation of the project UTC: "The City We Need: Open for Art"; Department of Architecture, Design and Urbanism in Alghero, University of Sassari; Public Art & Public Space, Faculty of Architecture, University of Belgrade; TaMaLaCà and STHEC TICS Sardinian network "Smart Territories Healty Cities" - "Territori Intelligenti/Città Sane", on 21th of December 2016, in Sassari, Italy. The speakers were representatives of the institutions that carried out the UTC "The City We Need: Open for Art" in Febuary 20016: Department of Architecture, Design and Urbanism in Alghero, University of Sassari; Public Art & Public Space, Faculty of Architecture, University of Belgrade and DECA Master (Inter-University Master Degree in Law and Economics for Culture and Art), University of Sassari, University of Cagliari and University of Nuoro.
The construction process of the New Urban Agenda - NUA (adopted draft at the conference Habitat III, 20th October 2016 in Quito, Equador), was consisted of local investments, resources and forces, among other national and international institutions, organisations, businesses and others. UTC "The City We Need: Open for Art" is organised in collaboration with City of Alghero to contribute the construction process of the NUA with the intention to put attention on the role of the art in the city/community life. The encounter discussion was oriented to enclose the process and the results of UTC "The City We Need: Open for Art", from the very beginning until the Habitat III conference and after it. The aim of the event was not only disseminating, rather an approximation of state oriented towards the public that can contribute participation in the implementation of the principles recognized in the NUA. In the global context of the NUA, the results of UTC held in Alghero and innovative possibilities for the implementation of the art as creative product of everyday life activities at the local level were discussed.
